Felt fitting to post this sneak peek of the Happy Hour Hustle episode with @meredith.and.the.media. You can’t allow other people to decide your path, if you’re afraid they’re gonna judge you; they will.

Get over it.

Get over it.

Next time you walk into a networking event, count the people wearing color; black, brown, blue and gray don’t count.

Your personal brand is defined through first impressions, and that happens before you open your mouth. It’s what you wear, how you wear it and the story it tells. It’s your business card, notes you send, the stickers you obviously include.

I started my love of fashion with the iconic brands.Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe - I believe this is what they call throwaway fashion? I couldn’t afford anything else, and I hated the idea of wearing the same thing week after week.

If you want to be noticed and make a statement without opening your mouth, then ditch the gray and be intentional about what you wear. Stop equating your work with boring and dull.

When you dress your personality, you’ll feel more confident and prepared.

I’m posting these awkward photos of my friend @khristiansilvisforhd84 to invite you to Sips, Salsa, Silvis on July 23, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at @8thirtyfour .

The primaries are under a month away, and Lord knows we need good people representing us. I’ve shared an office with Khristian and her team for the past several months, and she has worked her a** off. I can’t think of anything more awful than going door-to-door in 90-degree weather to talk to people.

She is one of the real ones, so come to 834’s new second-floor digs; I’ll shake you up a margarita, you can pet a dog or three and support fellow margarita lover, Khristian Silvis, in her run for Michigan’s 84th House District.
