Being a young professional in a competitive market is tough…but it isn’t impossible. Your personal brand (Big Deal Energy™️)Your network is your net worth, and there are no shortcuts to building one – so leave ChatGPT and Claude out of it. 

Emulate the leaders. Learn from those who have gone before. Stalk the people in the industry or job you want and study how they did it. They have a playbook they followed, learn from it, and then go forth and do.

You are only as good as your network and personal brand, so I’d suggest you build one.

The second cohort of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Fellowship graduated yesterday and they got a standing ovation because they damn well earned it

Between 2019 to 2023 the number of women owned businesses increased at nearly double the rate of male owned.

In 2024 women were 47% more likely than men to close a business for family or personal reasons.

Women receive only about 5% of total small business loan dollars and 2% of venture capital funding.

These women are succeeding, despite this, they are second stage, invest into their communities, and when they have access to resources, support and a network - we all benefit.

The Fellowship is just one way we are working to level the playing field.

I am neurodivergent, an entrepreneur, work chaotically, and am constantly coming up with the next “big” idea. Great for you, not great for a team needing consistency, accountability, and clarity on what success looks like as a whole and individually. The other piece: It has helped me plan and focus on the most important thing for the business versus chasing after every great “idea,” I have.
